About Beverly S. Price
Beverly S. Price, CEDRD-S, MA, E-200 RYT, C-IAYT is a certified eating disorders registered dietitian and iaedp supervisor, experienced registered yoga teacher and IAYT Certified Yoga therapist, known for her work with yoga and eating disorders and recognized for bringing mindfulness yoga to the eating disorders treatment community, along with yoga therapy training programs in eating disorders for professionals.
Beverly is an inspiring author and international presenter. She is the author of Reconnect with Food…Unplugged! DVD, Nutrition Secrets for Optimal Health, and numerous peer-reviewed and trade publications articles. She has also been featured on the radio, television, and podcasts or interviewed in many major online and print publications, including Time Magazine's Special Edition. She is a frequent presenter at the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals Foundation (iaedp) Symposiums. She has presented at the Soviet-American Nutrition Conference and American College of Physicians Michigan Chapter early in her career.
Beverly has created, cultivated, and sold various healthcare businesses. In her career, she has consulted with healthcare entities that wish to maximize their bottom line, developed an entrepreneurial curriculum for dietetic educators and students, and created distance learning products for continuing professional education of registered dietitians on how to start, expand or sell a nutrition private practice - now in its 6th edition - and has provided professional clinical-business workshops throughout the country for healthcare professionals.
Beverly owned and operated a private outpatient nutrition practice that she sold to Integrated Nutrition in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Following the sale, she provided national workshops and self-directed programs - The Jump Start Business School and Private Practice, Getting that Jump Start - for registered dietitians on how to start a private nutrition practice and sell a private nutrition practice. Beverly was the founder and former CEO of the Inner Door CenterĀ® Eating Disorder and Substance Abuse Treatment Center, which was launched in 2004, acquired by a private company in 2016, and closed under new staff in management in 2018. Since leaving the Inner Door CenterĀ® in 2016, following its sale, Beverly has remained active in the national and local Eating Disorders community through consulting, lecturing, board positions, supervising, and mentoring. She supervises registered dietitians for iaedp certification and is an active member of iaedp and its designated upper Midwest chapter, Heartland iaedp.
Beverly also continues the mindfulness yoga therapy for eating disorders training programs and is affiliated with Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy. She also provides services to registered dietitians on starting, growing, or selling a private nutrition practice. She created a virtual/online training center to provide these programs and services to keep up with advancing technology and consumer demand while promoting community and connection to her colleagues.
She works at Rochester Center for Behavioral Medicine, oversees corporate compliance and program management, and is the Director of Medical Nutrition Therapy.
