I attended Beverly's training in Jamaica many years ago and loved the approach so much that when I got home I opened my notebook containing 8 weeks of material for my Yoga for Mindful Eating series that I'd taught for a few years and tossed them into the trash. Private Practice, Getting That Jump Start Workshop is beneficial for students and interns to attend as it will provide them with practical information about starting a private practice or consulting company. They will be given the opportunity to explore their personal goals and useful tips will be given to begin the process of achieving those goals. Most nutrition programs do not provide business classes for students and most graduates do not understand the finance, management and marketing of a nutrition business. This course will provide them this much needed information and I would recommend it for all students and interns.

I definitely would recommend this course to others. I know more and more of young dietitians wanting to explore the private practice option, and would hope that more dietetic internships offer more experiences in this part of our profession.

Beverly’s casual, but no nonsense writing style, and creative use of automobile imagery is conducive to active reading and participation in the business and marketing assignments. This very clever approach to the intangible aspects of business sets this product apart from other, more formal attempts, to provide the same information.

I feel more knowledgeable about subject, especially how to weave together. Found this more valuable than conferences offering individual/multiple sessions. Material built on a concrete plan with lots of ideas, experientials, and practice with case study for a solid plan. Training materials relevant and well organized.
